Frustration

After a year and a half of Weight Watchers, I FINALLY succumbed to frustration! I have been hovering around 138 lbs for over a month and can't seem to go lower. I have two more weeks left on my six weeks maintenance program and have had for quite some time!

I quickly got my thoughts under control again...where the mind goes, the woman follows. I CAN reach lifetime membership. I CAN do it in the next few weeks! I HAVE lost 53 lbs. I KNOW what to do!

I'll keep you posted.

A little Yin to go with the Yang

  • Since I posted my fat pictures, I need a skinny one to make me feel better.
  • 53 lbs and Lasik surgery later (oh, and a little peroxide,too)...
  • This photo was taken a week or two before I made my goal weight. I was about a pound or two away.
  • I think losing the weight made me look ten years younger!
  • By the way..."fat" is relative. To some, the weight I was at below would be a positive improvement or place in their weight-loss journey. For some, 135 lbs is still fat (they're either short or live in California LOL). But, just know that as I was "passing through," I was THRILLED to be at a size 14. (When I hit size 12 I actually cried in a fitting room.) The bottom line is that we need to be at a weight that is healthy for us, and be HAPPY while we're there!

My Fat Pictures

Voila! This is me in my obese glory. I was over 200 lbs in most of these pictures.

Maintaining in the midst of everything!

When you are on Weight Watchers, you go through several levels of accomplishments. First, you set (and reach) your 10% weight loss goal. Next, You set your final goal. When you reach your final goal, you then go through six weeks of maintenance while you learn how to eat and maintain your weight loss. You can go no more than 2 lbs. over your goal weight during the maintenance period. If you do, you get an extra week added to your maintenance program.

I have been on my six week maintenance program since October 9! :-) I have two more weeks to go. Keep in mind, however, that I refuse to stress out and deprive myself of fun foods (in moderation)....especially during the holidays! I actually think that that is paramount to my overall success.

Once I reach lifetime status, I no longer have to pay for my Weight Watchers membership, but can still enjoy all of its privileges. I am truly looking forward to getting there!

I will keep you posted!

New Pictures

We took new family Christmas portraits this year....I couldn't stand seeing my fat picture on my mom's TV any longer!

I hope that she'll replace it with the new one. LOL

That reminds me to let you know how important it is to take pictures of yourself as you lose weight. Be comfortable with the NEW you. If you learn to see yourself as the new skinny person, you are more likely to stay that way!

Have a wonderful New Year!
